English Language Arts- Elementary School teacher

JOB SUMMARY
JUMP! East Hanover Elementary School is seeking a student-centered English Language Art (ELA) Teacher elementary grades (k-2/3) and to join our team who is passionate about student learning for all and being a part of a culturally and linguistically diverse learning community.

The ideal candidate will foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking while ensuring students build strong literacy skills explicitly aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported, championing student leadership and ensuring engaging learning experiences for all students..

Key Responsibilities:

● Establish a nurturing and supportive classroom culture that builds student confidence in reading, writing, and communication.

● Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that enhances comprehension, vocabulary, and analytical thinking.

● Design engaging lessons that incorporate student voice, choice, and collaborative learning experiences to empower students as active learners.

● Implement evidence-based instructional strategies, technology integration, and real-world applications to make literacy meaningful.

● Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and assess student progress to support growth and mastery of ELA skills.

● Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support a community of learning.

Standard Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Language Arts, Literacy, or a related field.

● Teaching certification (preferred).

● Experience in elementary or middle school English Language Arts instruction.

● Knowledge of inquiry-based learning, student engagement strategies, and literacy development best practices (preferred).

Pay: $56,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
