English Reading and Public Speaking Teacher

The Reading and Public Speaking Teacher is responsible for cultivating students’ literacy skills and building their confidence and competence in oral communication. The role focuses on developing reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and critical thinking, while also guiding students in speech writing, presentation techniques, and public speaking etiquette.

Key Responsibilities:Reading Instruction:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop reading fluency, comprehension, and literary appreciation.
• Teach vocabulary, reading strategies, and critical thinking skills appropriate to the students' age and reading level.
• Use assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.

Public Speaking Instruction:

• Teach students effective public speaking skills including voice modulation, body language, clarity, and audience engagement.
• Guide students in preparing different types of speeches: persuasive, informative, narrative, and impromptu.
• Organize and oversee speaking events such as debates, class presentations, and speech competitions.
• Build student confidence through structured practice, feedback, and peer evaluation.

Classroom & Student Development:

• Create an inclusive and respectful classroom culture that encourages participation and self-expression.
• Support students in developing confidence, creativity, and communication skills.
• Provide timely feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents or guardians.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate reading and speaking across the curriculum.
• Participate in school events, performances, or assemblies related to literacy and public speaking.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communication, or a related field (required).
• 2+ years of experience teaching reading, English, or communication skills.
• Strong understanding of literacy development and oral communication techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills.
• Familiarity with speech competitions, debate formats, or performance-based assessments is a plus.

Pay: From Rs40,000.00 per month
