English Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative English Teacher to join our English Department in a permanent full time capacity, commencing at the start of the 2026 academic year. You will teach English across Stages 4-6 and foster a deep appreciation of literature and language.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver high-quality English learning experiences for students in Years 7-12
• Inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking through engaging and rigorous curriculum delivery
• Using evidence-informed practice, formative assessment and explicit teaching to drive student growth.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop engaging units, resources and assessment.
• Fostering a safe, inclusive and disciplined learning environment aligned to College values.
• Contributing to the broader life of the College and co-curricular activities

About You

• NSW teaching accreditation and relevant tertiary qualifications in English
• Demonstrated success teaching Stage 6 English with strong curriculum and assessment literacy.
• Ability to teach English Advanced and/or Extension English would be highly regarded
• Proven experience to engage students in the study of literature, language and writing
• Strong classroom management, communication and relationship-building skills with adolescent boys.
• A commitment to the ethos of Catholic education and to the Augustinian values of Truth, Love and Community.
