Our youth-centered Livelihoods Program equips young graduates and graduating students from low-income communities with 21st-century workplace skills that make them job-ready.
  • Spoken and Written English Communication is a critical enabler for success in customer-centric service roles in sectors like BFSI, ITES, E-commerce, and Retail. Learners typically begin at A1 or A2 proficiency levels (as per British Council CEFR benchmarks) and must be transformed through a training program [approx. 50 hours] into confident English users capable of participating in interviews and basic workplace communication.
  • We are looking for passionate, empathetic, and highly skilled English Communications Trainers to design and deliver this training program [indicative duration – 50 hours] . The trainer should be adept at teaching verbal and written English, enhancing emotional intelligence, building self-confidence, and facilitating practical communication practice through engaging activities, role plays, public speaking, and peer interactions. The role involves a hybrid mode of delivery [ in -person and virtual as required] but requires high engagement and presence.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Design & Delivery:

  • Design and deliver a [approx.50-hour] English communication training program for unemployed youthfrom underserved socio-economic backgrounds who are desirous of joining employment in entry level white-collar jobs in IT/ ITeS and other Service Sector organizations. These youth are a mix of STEM graduates or in their final semester at college.
  • Focus on basic business writing (emails, applications), and everyday conversations.
  • Include interview preparation, public speaking, and confidence-building activities.

Interactive, Outcome-Oriented Teaching:Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Use interactive, learner-centered methods such as role plays, storytelling, peer teaching, and simulations to drive learner participation and fluency.

  • Encourage language use in real-life contexts, reducing fear and building fluency.
  • Differentiated Learning & Support:

- Identify and address learning gaps and varied proficiency levels through tailored support and remedial strategies.
- Offer timely and constructive feedback on pronunciation, vocabulary, fluency, grammar, and writing.

Self-Learning Extension Plans:
- Recommend practical, everyday self-learning techniques that learners can use outside class.
- Provide structured practice activities for independent learning.

Monitoring & Assessment:
- Track learner progress through pre/post assessments, quizzes, reflection exercises, and attendance records.
- Maintain detailed session-wise documentation of learner participation and outcomes.

Continuous Learning:
- Stay up-to-date with innovations in English language instruction, adult learning principles, and digital learning tools.

Qualifications & Experience Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Communication, or related field. TESOL/CELTA certification is a plus.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English, preferably spoken English to adults or youth from underserved communities.
- Experience delivering virtual training on Zoom, Google Meet, or MS Teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
