Role: English Teacher
As an English Teacher in a CBSE-affiliated school, you will play a key role in nurturing students’ language proficiency, critical thinking, and appreciation for literature. You will contribute to a stimulating academic environment through innovative teaching practices, collaboration with colleagues, and active engagement with students and parents.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Foster interactive classroom discussions to develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum planning.
- Organize and participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities that promote language and cultural awareness.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and development.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development programs.
- Stay updated with CBSE guidelines, assessment patterns, and best teaching practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification recognized by CBSE.
- Experience teaching English at the secondary level in a CBSE school preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and educational excellence.
- Passion for English language and literature with the ability to inspire students.
