What We Look For
We are seeking a passionate educator with strong English communication skills to join our team. Someone who can engage children creatively through phonics, stories, songs, and interactive activities. Roles & Responsibilities
Language & Literacy Development
- Teach English language and phonics to children with special needs using structured, child-centered approaches.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, developmental levels, and therapy goals.
- Use storytelling, rhymes, songs, and phonics games to make learning engaging.
- Use visual aids, phonics tools, and interactive activities to encourage communication and literacy.
Individualized Support
- Work closely with therapists (speech, occupational, psychologists) to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Provide personalized attention and create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each child.
- Encourage social interaction, communication, and independence among children.
Montessori-Based Teaching
- Implement Montessori-inspired methods to encourage independent learning and exploration.
- Utilize Montessori materials and techniques to teach language concepts in a tactile and experiential way.
Classroom Management & Child Engagement
- Create a safe, supportive, and structured environment that minimizes stress and fosters learning.
- Use Montessori methods and multi-sensory strategies to engage children meaningfully.
- Observe and document each child’s progress in English, phonics, and overall development.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with parents to update them on their child’s progress and suggest home activities.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and staff for holistic child development.
- Participate in teacher training, workshops, and professional development sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, or Early Childhood Education (ECCE) or Special Education
- Montessori Training is preferred.
- Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is a bonus point.
- Excellent spoken and written English – fluency is mandatory
- Prior experience in preschool, kindergarten, or early childhood teaching preferred (freshers with Montessori/phonics training may also apply).
