Job Summary

Under the direction of the site administrator, the High School English Teacher plans, organizes, and delivers standards-based instruction in English Language Arts to students in grades 9–12. The teacher promotes student achievement in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking through engaging and differentiated instruction. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, maintaining a positive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and families, utilizing instructional technology, and supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. The teacher is expected to uphold district policies, participate in professional development, and contribute to a culture of equity, inclusion, and student success.
