**Primary English Teacher Job Description (India)**

**Position:** Primary English Teacher (Grades 1-5)

### **Job Summary**

We seek a passionate Primary English Teacher to deliver engaging English lessons aligned with Indian education standards .The ideal candidate will foster literacy, communication skills, and creativity in young learners through interactive and child-centric methods.

### **Key Responsibilities**

✔ Plan and teach English lessons (reading, writing, grammar, phonics) using activity-based learning

✔ Develop students’ speaking/listening skills through storytelling, recitations, and role-play

✔ Use teaching aids (flashcards, charts, digital tools) to enhance understanding

✔ Assess students through classwork, oral tests, and periodic exams

✔ Maintain classroom discipline while nurturing a joyful learning environment

✔ Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and training programs

### **Requirements**

- **Education:** BA/MA in English + B.Ed.

- **Experience:** 1-3 years teaching English to primary grades

- **Skills:**

- Fluent English with clear pronunciation

- Knowledge of phonics (Jolly Phonics/other)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
