Roles and responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to Classes VI–X in alignment with CBSE syllabus, including grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing and prescribed texts.
- Prepare yearly plans, unit plans and engaging lesson plans, using a variety of strategies (activities, discussions, group work, projects, audio‑visual aids).
- Design and evaluate class tests, assignments, notebooks and examinations; analyse results and implement remedial/enrichment measures.
- Develop students’ communication skills through debates, elocution, reading programmes, theatre, newsletters and other co‑curricular activities.
- Maintain an orderly, positive classroom environment, ensure discipline as per school norms, and use both offline and online tools effectively when required.
- Coordinate with class teachers and subject colleagues, attend PTMs, staff meetings, trainings and contribute to school events and duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Post‑graduate in English (preferred) with B.Ed from a recognised university.
- Qualified CTET/State TET Paper II as per CBSE norms (preferred as per school policy).
- 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience at middle/secondary level in a CBSE/English‑medium school is desirable.
Skills and competencies
- Strong command of English language and literature, with clear pronunciation and error‑free written/spoken communication.
- Effective classroom management, ability to handle adolescents with empathy and firmness, and skill in differentiated instruction for mixed‑ability groups.
- Proficiency in using computers, smart‑class tools, and basic learning‑management/assessment platforms.
- Collaborative attitude, professionalism, and commitment to holistic development of students in line with CBSE and school ethos.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
