English, Writing, ESL & Math Instructors (Middle–High School / SAT–ACT Prep)

Job Summary

A Learning Center located in Bellevue, WA, is seeking passionate and experienced educators to join our growing academic team.
We are currently hiring for two part-time positions:

• Middle & High School English Teacher (SAT/ACT – English)
• High School Test Prep Instructor (SSAT/ISEE/SAT/ACT – Math)

01 Middle & High School English Teacher (SAT/ACT – English)

Focus: Reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, and ESL

Responsibilities:

• Teach English reading and writing lessons that build strong literacy and communication skills.
• Create interactive, engaging, and structured lessons.
• Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback for improvement.
• Support diverse learners, including multilingual ESL students.
• Communicate learning goals and progress with parents regularly.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in delivering comprehensive SAT/ACT preparation lessons.
• Experience in College Application Essay coaching.
• Experience in teaching related AP or IB subjects.
• TESOL, TEFL, or ESL certification.
• Knowledge of SIOP, GLAD, or similar ELL teaching strategies.

02 High School Test Prep Instructor (SSAT/ISEE/SAT/ACT – Math)

Focus: Test-taking strategies and academic reasoning

Responsibilities:

• Teach SSAT/SAT/ACT Math lessons emphasizing pacing, accuracy, and logical reasoning.
• Administer practice tests and analyze results to design personalized study plans.
• Track student progress and communicate outcomes with students and parents.
• Stay current with the latest SSAT/SAT/ACT standards and College Board guidelines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in teaching AP or IB subjects (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Calculus) is an asset.
• Proven success teaching or tutoring SSAT/ISEE students.

Qualifications (All Positions)

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, Math, Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience.
• Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
• Comfortable using online platforms (Zoom, Google Workspace, ClassIn, etc.).
• Passion for helping students grow academically and personally.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
