English & Writing Tutor – Part-Time (In Person)
Long Island Tutoring Service

Long Island Tutoring Service is seeking motivated and enthusiastic English and Writing tutors to work with students in person at our tutoring center. We are currently hiring tutors with some availability weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.

Subjects and Skills Needed:

• Middle School English / ELA
• High School English
• Essay Writing and Editing
• Reading Comprehension
• Regents English Prep
• SAT and ACT Reading & Writing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (English, education, or related field preferred)
• Strong writing, grammar, and reading comprehension skills
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and help students improve their writing
• Willingness to participate in a screening and training process
