Position Overview

The Crew Leader at Centercut is responsible for supervising and guiding field crews to ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to maintain productivity, enforce safety protocols, and foster a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate daily expectations and work assignments to all team members.
• Supervise, train, coach, and support crew members to ensure professional development and job performance.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, including stretching exercises, to promote safety and readiness.
• Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain proactive communication with supervisors regarding progress, incidents, and team concerns.
• Report damaged, lost, stolen, or replacement-needed tools and materials immediately—including irrigation supplies.
• Secure and lock up all tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift.
• Accurately clock in/out and complete assigned tasks/issues in Aspire daily.
• Monitor crew attendance, report absences immediately, and ensure all team members are in proper uniform before leaving the yard.
• Inspect and verify vehicle readiness daily (safety, tools, and materials); report any issues promptly.
• Ensure all tasks meet Center Cut’s quality standards and are completed on time.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks or hazards; take immediate corrective action when necessary.
• Train and onboard new team members to integrate them successfully into company processes.
• Enforce a zero-tolerance policy for drugs or alcohol in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Prior landscaping or irrigation experience.
• Willingness to learn enhancement techniques, irrigation systems, and equipment operation.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate a team.
• Basic proficiency with Aspire or similar work management systems (training provided).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required)
• OSHA 30 Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
• Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating equipment for extended periods.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
