Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent (EA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic financial team. Duties
- Prepare and review individual, business, and trust tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct detailed estate planning consultations, including wills, trusts, and estate law considerations
- Perform corporate accounting tasks such as general ledger reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting
- Analyze financial statements and reports to interpret financial concepts and support decision-making processes
- Assist with auditing procedures in accordance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards
- Support mergers & acquisitions activities through due diligence, financial analysis, and integration planning
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial tools for bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial data management
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required; additional certifications in securities law or non-profit accounting are a plus
- Proven experience in tax experience, public accounting, or corporate accounting environments
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and regulatory standards
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial software platforms
- Demonstrated analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports
- Knowledge of estate planning strategies such as wills, trusts & estate law is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clients and team members
- Strong technical accounting skills including payroll processing, accounts payable management, budgeting, asset management, and financial planning
