Get to know the opportunity:
The Enterprise Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and reporting on credit and counterparty exposures across non-general account portfolios. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company’s enterprise-wide risk management framework, ensuring that credit and counterparty risks are identified, measured, and managed in alignment with internal policies and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive credit analysis on counterparties across various non-general account exposures including reinsurance and various business unit credit exposures including client advances.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness using internal and external ratings, financial statement analysis, and stress testing methodologies.
  • Provide an in-depth analysis of developments in the risk profile of the counterparty portfolio and formulation of strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Monitor compliance with established credit risk limits and escalate potential breaches to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the business, investment, treasury, legal, and operational risk teams to ensure holistic risk oversight.
  • Support the development and refinement of enterprise credit risk policies.
  • Prepare periodic credit risk reports for senior leadership and governance committees, including the Voya Risk Committee.
  • Participate in the review and approval of new counterparty relationships and transactions, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and policy guidelines.
  • Maintain and enhance credit risk models and exposure tracking tools.
  • Identify emerging risks that may impact the company
  • Assist in industry surveys and benchmarking exercises
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CFA or FRM designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in credit analysis, collateral management, or counterparty risk management.
  • Strong understanding of counterparty exposure and collateral management in various structures like reinsurance structures and client advances.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and risk analytics tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Barclays POINT, Python, SQL).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and internal control documents governing credit and counterparty risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex risk concepts to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience with enterprise-level credit risk oversight across multiple counterparties and legal entities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$145,000 - $160,000
