Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Integration Architect / Consultant to design, implement, and support enterprise-wide application integrations across complex higher-education and enterprise environments. This role focuses on integrating academic, administrative, and enterprise platforms using modern integration frameworks, APIs, and middleware technologies. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with enterprise systems and communicates fluently in Arabic and English.
Key Responsibilities
The consultant will design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Java/JEE and .NET, supporting integrations across systems such as Ellucian Banner, Blackboard, library systems, enterprise websites (SharePoint/Drupal), SAP, Oracle EBS, identity and access management platforms, Azure, business intelligence systems, and related enterprise applications.
You will evaluate, design, and implement integration frameworks using service-oriented and event-driven architectures, including REST APIs, SOA services, and message-based integrations. Responsibilities include developing database objects using Oracle and SQL, deploying secure data transmissions using digital certificates and PKI, and implementing integrations using technologies such as XML, XSLT, SOAP, WSDL, REST, FTP, MOM, ESB, EDA, and UDDI.
The role involves gathering and translating business requirements into technical integration designs, planning and executing the integration of new applications into existing enterprise environments, and collaborating with vendors to identify and implement valuable features. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and initiate process improvements to enhance reliability, performance, and user experience.
You will collaborate closely with developers, DBAs, system administrators, analysts, and functional teams to diagnose production issues, deploy fixes, and minimize the impact of integrations on existing business processes. The role also includes application testing after enhancements and upgrades, preparing status and evaluation reports, supporting change management processes, and submitting incident and change requests for CAB approval with proper solution documentation.
Additional responsibilities include delivering technical and functional training, conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, creating and maintaining comprehensive technical and functional documentation, managing vendor support tickets, and supporting ongoing architectural and performance improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in enterprise application integration. Strong hands-on experience with integration architectures, middleware, APIs, and enterprise systems is essential. Applicable certifications are preferred.
Language Requirement
Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (reading and writing) is required.
