PEP Schoolv2 | Entrepreneurship Educator (Grades 6–10)

Build the version 2 of schooling in India

Most schools in India are built for “the average child.” Everyone moves at the same pace, does the same worksheet, writes the same test, and is judged by the same yardstick.

But children are not average.

PEP Schoolv2 exists because we believe school needs a version 2. A model where learning is genuinely personalized, where children are known deeply, and where teaching is designed around how children actually learn. When you do this well, two things happen together. Children build strong academic foundations and they stay curious.

We are looking for educators who feel energized by this mission. People who want to redesign school so it fits children, instead of forcing children to fit school.

A Truly Unique Role

This position doesn't exist in traditional schools. And for good reason—most schools can't imagine what it would mean to have students actually run real businesses as part of their education.

We can. And we do.

Students in our adolescent program (Grades 6-10) don't just read case studies about businesses—they create and run them. They design products, manage inventory, handle accounting, develop marketing strategies, build brands, create websites, serve customers, solve operational challenges, and navigate all the messy complexity of making something people actually want to buy.

We're looking for someone to guide our student enterprises and the students running them. Someone who understands that the most powerful learning happens when students grapple with authentic challenges, collaborate to solve them, and see the consequences of their decisions play out.

What You'll Do

This role has two interconnected parts:

1. Business Mentor

● Guide student enterprises. Help students navigate the challenges of running their businesses. When inventory runs low, help them think through ordering decisions. When marketing isn't working, guide them in analyzing what's wrong. When conflicts arise in teams, facilitate resolution.

● Teach through real problems. Use the actual challenges students face as teaching opportunities. They're struggling with pricing? That's a lesson in cost accounting and value perception. Customer feedback is negative? Let's talk about quality control and customer satisfaction scores.

● Foster collaborative problem-solving. Help students work together effectively. Teach them to leverage different strengths, navigate disagreements, make decisions as a team.

2. Business Studies Teacher

● Teach core business concepts. Cover the fundamentals: accounting principles, marketing frameworks, financial literacy, operations management, economics. Make these topics engaging by connecting them to students' own enterprises.

● Build functional skills. Teach practical capabilities students can immediately use: how to create a budget, analyze a P&L statement, conduct market research, develop a brand identity, build a website, create compelling content, design a sales process.

● Develop strategic thinking. Help students think beyond tactics to strategy. How do they differentiate their product? What's their competitive advantage? How do they scale?

Ideal Background

Business experience: You've started or helped build a business. You know what it's like to create something from scratch, test assumptions, iterate based on feedback, manage limited resources. Alternatively, you have corporate experience in category management / brand management / operation / product development.

Teaching experience: Not required. If you have the business expertise and enjoy working with young people (or think you will), we'll help you develop the teaching skills.
