Join our vibrant team as an Entry Level After School Program Support! This exciting role offers the chance to positively influence children’s lives by learning how to provide engaging, safe, and nurturing after-school experiences. As a team member, you will support children in their academic, social, and emotional development while fostering a fun and inclusive environment. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about working with children and eager to learn. The fall period is 15 hours a week, and summer period up to 32 hours a week. This is a five (5) day a week position with opportunities for advancement. Higher Salary is based on experience
Duties - In a Support Role
- Help supervise children during after-school hours, and in Summer Camp, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Participate in structured activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction
- Learn how to manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement
- Assist with homework help, tutoring, and educational activities
- Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play
Skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, eager to learn and participate with an affection for children
- Skills and a personality that create a positive and disciplined environment
- Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, babysitting, or tutoring roles is a plus
- Alert and able to respond to children's needs and follow directions for their safety
- Good communication skills to engage effectively with children, and team members
- Enthusiastic about enrichment activities to engage children in, such as sports, dance, or others
- OTHER
- Take training courses in Childcare Development and Safety
- Able to clear background checks

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
