Summary
Our Fort Lauderdale headquarters is expanding, and we’re looking for an Entry-Level Bankruptcy Attorney who is eager to learn, ready to help clients, and excited to build a career in one of the largest consumer bankruptcy practices in Florida. This role is perfect for a recent graduate, new attorney, or someone transitioning into bankruptcy law with strong client-service instincts.

About Us
Van Horn Law Group has helped more than 10,000 clients rebuild their financial lives and has earned over 1,000 five-star reviews. We’re known for speed, compassion, and high standards of service across Chapters 7, 13, and 11. Our Fort Lauderdale office is our flagship location — fast-paced, well-resourced, and full of opportunities for mentorship and advancement.

What You’ll Do

  • Support senior attorneys on Chapter 7, 13, and occasionally Chapter 11 matters.
  • Conduct client meetings and assist with initial consultations after training.
  • Learn how to evaluate cases, identify the correct chapter, and communicate expectations clearly.
  • Review client documents and prepare filings with the help of our experienced paralegal and docs teams.
  • Attend 341 meetings and hearings (with support and preparation).
  • Work closely with intake, case managers, trustee-doc teams, and support staff to move cases efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensed Florida attorney (or sitting for/awaiting bar results).
  • No prior bankruptcy experience required — just a strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent communication and client-relations skills.
  • Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to develop subject-matter expertise.
  • Team player with a positive, service-minded attitude.

Compensation

  • Salary range: Based on experience and ability to handle volume.
  • Performance and productivity bonuses.
  • PTO, health benefits, and firm-wide perks.
  • Clear pathway to mid-level and senior roles, with structured training and mentorship.

Why Join Us

  • Learn bankruptcy the right way from a nationally recognized, high-volume practice.
  • Work with one of the most experienced and supportive teams in the country.
  • Be part of an office that handles some of the largest Chapter 7 and 13 volumes in Florida.
  • Strong career growth opportunities as the firm continues to scale.
