Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
- Support field service activities by inspecting mechanical systems and identifying issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Learn to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment for troubleshooting electrical components
- Help with plumbing tasks related to Commercial HVAC systems and property maintenance projects
- Participate in equipment repair tasks involving welding, mechanical adjustments, or component replacement
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document work performed accurately in service logs and report any system malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction principles and mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R systems
- Prior service technician or property maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
- Familiarity with HVAC design concepts and refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is advantageous
- Knowledge of plumbing, appliance repair, boiler operation, and general equipment repair techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in welding or working with field service tools is beneficial
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred for travel between sites
