Entry-Level Dental Assistant / Sterilization Technician

This role starts in sterilization and support. But it doesn’t have to stay there. Every skill you add, every responsibility you earn, comes with recognition — and pay to match. The ceiling here is determined by you, not by a corporate org chart.

What You’ll Do

• Instrument sterilization, pouch, and autoclave management
• Operatory setup, breakdown, and restocking
• Coronal polishing on straightforward children hygiene patients
• Chairside assisting as you develop and demonstrate readiness
• General back-office flow and team support

What We’re Looking For

Minimum:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic familiarity with dental terminology, instruments, and infection control
• Reliable and punctual — every day, on time
• A team-first attitude — we help each other here, and that goes both ways
• Initiative — we’ll give you a job description and guidance, but we need someone who looks for what needs to be done without being told every time. Room needs turning, turn it. Trash is full, replace the bag. Hygienist is running behind, take x-rays for her next patient. Someone needs help charting, jump in.

Preferred:

• Short course graduate (DATS Virginia, NOVA dental assisting program, or equivalent from any state)
• DANB ICE (Infection Control and Exposure Control) certification
• 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience in lieu of formal certification

Major Plus:

• Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) / X-ray certification (any state)
• Expanded functions or DA II certification from Virginia or any state
• Dentrix experience
