Entry Level Diesel Shop Workers

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Entry Level Diesel Shop Worker and kickstart your career in heavy equipment and automotive maintenance! This energetic role offers hands-on experience working with diesel engines. You'll be an essential part of a fast-paced shop environment, assisting with repairs, inspections, and routine maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly. No previous experience? No problem! This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn and contribute to a thriving team. Duties

  • Assist with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of Heavy Trucks
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical repairs and assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Support fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and equipment modifications as needed
  • Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely under supervision
  • Read schematics and technical manuals to aid in diagnostics and troubleshooting of automotive and industrial equipment
  • Conduct tire services, wheel alignments, and basic vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with service technician tasks such as electrical repairs, HVAC work, shocks & struts replacement, and hydraulic system servicing

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn heavy equipment operation and automotive repair techniques
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures in a shop environment
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Excellent attention to detail for diagnostics using schematics and technical manuals
  • Good communication skills for teamwork and customer service interactions
  • Prior dealership experience or exposure to farm machinery, industrial equipment, or automotive repair is a plus but not required
  • Willingness to obtain certifications such as forklift operation or CDL license if applicable
