Job Summary
Launch your career where technical business meets creative marketing. Ideal Vacuum Products (Albuquerque, NM) is hiring a recent college graduate in Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or STEM to create high-quality product pages for scientific vacuum equipment used in universities, national labs, and R&D. You’ll write clear technical descriptions from manuals/datasheets, build SEO-friendly listings in our CMS with light HTML/CSS, and produce clean visuals using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Success looks like fast learning, excellent English/technical writing, strong attention to detail, and comfort collaborating with engineers so specs and terminology are right. Portfolio required (product page or datasheet, image edits, and a one-page graphic). This full-time, on-site role offers competitive pay, training, and real growth for smart, early-career creatives who love turning complex STEM concepts into compelling digital content.
Web Product Pages
- Translate manuals/datasheets into concise, accurate product descriptions, features, and spec tables for technical audiences.
- Publish and maintain listings for a 10,000+ SKU catalog; create SEO-friendly titles, metadata, and alt text.
- Perform light HTML/CSS edits and formatting in our CMS to keep pages clean, consistent, and accessible.
Graphics & Visuals
- Edit product photos (color, exposure, dust/blemish removal, background knockout) using Photoshop and our photo workflow.
- Create diagrams, infographics, callouts, and sell sheets in InDesign/Illustrator; export web-ready assets.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools (when appropriate) for cutouts, upscaling, and first-draft copy/visual ideation.
Accuracy & Collaboration
- Partner with engineers and product managers to ensure technical correctness, units, and nomenclature.
- QA every page: links, downloads, specs, and visual consistency; maintain asset naming and version control hygiene.
- Continuously improve style guides and component templates for speed and consistency.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: BA/BS in Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Technical Communication, or related field; STEM coursework or degree is a strong plus.
- Software: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator; Acrobat for PDFs; basic comfort with HTML/CSS (hand edits).
- Writing: Excellent English and technical writing; ability to summarize complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- STEM Savvy: Comfortable reading manuals, specs, curves, and using correct engineering/physics terminology.
- Workflow: Organized file/asset management, attention to detail, and strong follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
- Nice to Have: Lightroom, Figma, GA/SEO tools, regex/Excel for data cleanup, and AI-assisted content/image tools.
Portfolio Submission (Required)
- 3–5 samples: (1) a product page or datasheet you authored, (2) before/after product photo edit, (3) a one-page sell sheet or graphic advertisement.
- Optional: a short rewrite of a technical vacuum chamber product for space flight simulation, of your choice, showing clarity and tone for a technical audience.
