We are seeking an energetic and motivated Entry Level Board Plant Technician to join our team! Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain assigned equipment in the plant, including mixers, forming sections, transfer, kiln and bundling areas.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for startup, changeover, and shutdown.
- Assist with raw material handling, including paper rolls, stucco feed and additives.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in all assigned work areas following 5S and safety standards.
- Safely use hand tools, measuring devices and lifting equipment.
- Support production during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by plant schedule.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous industrial, manufacturing or mechanical experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, (days, nights, weekends and holidays).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in hot or dusty environments.
- Ability to follow directions, work safely, and operate as part of a team.
- Must maintain reliable attendance and punctuality in a 24/7 production environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $28.61 per hour
