April Interiors is seeking a motivated Entry Level Interior Designer to join our growing residential design firm. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early career designer who wants hands on experience working on custom homes, remodels, and full service residential design projects.

Our firm collaborates closely with homeowners, builders, and contractors to guide projects from initial concept through construction and final installation. The right candidate will gain valuable experience in the real world design process while working alongside an experienced design team.

We are looking for someone who is organized, detail oriented, proactive, and excited to grow within the design industry.

Responsibilities

Assist lead designers with residential interior design projects including:

• Preparing CAD drawings, layouts, and revisions
• Assisting with finish selections, fixtures, tile, cabinetry, and materials
• Creating design presentations and mood boards
• Sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, and accessories
• Coordinating with vendors, showrooms, contractors, and workrooms
• Attending client meetings, showroom visits, and site walkthroughs
• Tracking orders, deliveries, and installations
• Supporting project organization and documentation
• Maintaining the studio sample library

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field
• 0–2 years of experience (internships welcome)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required
• Experience with SketchUp, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• A strong eye for design, materials, and scale

Interview Process

Qualified candidates will participate in a brief design exercise as part of the interview process. The exercise will involve creating a mock design concept for a client scenario, allowing us to better understand your design approach, creativity, organization, and presentation style.

Details of the exercise will be provided to selected candidates during the interview process.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
