Arnold & Smith, PLLC is seeking a full-time, entry-level Paralegal to join our Charlotte office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to begin a career in the legal field. The role combines paralegal responsibilities with administrative and reception duties.
No prior law firm experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who brings strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow in a professional legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the client consultation and intake process
- Prepare and organize new client files
- Assist with closing client matters and follow-up tasks
- Manage post-client relationship and administrative tasks
- Perform accounts receivable–related administrative duties
- Provide support to the bookkeeper
- Assist with general office and reception duties as needed
Qualifications
- Customer service experience required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred
- Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
- Typing speed of 40+ words per minute
- Comfortable using computers and standard office software
