We’re supporting a leading ship owner/operator in the search for a senior HSSEQ leader to take full ownership of fleet-wide safety, compliance, and performance across LNG vessels.

About the Role

This is a strategic, shore-based leadership role with direct oversight of HSSEQ systems, audit frameworks, and regulatory compliance across an international fleet.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the Safety Management System (SMS) across the fleet
• Act as DPA & CSO (ISM / ISPS)
• Oversee audits, incident investigations, vetting (SIRE/TMSA), and ESG reporting
• Drive safety culture, behavioral safety, and continuous improvement
• Engage with Flag, Class, and regulatory bodies
• Support fleet growth, including vessel takeovers and integration

Qualifications

• Strong sea-going background with shore-based HSSEQ experience.
• Proven leadership in LNG / gas shipping fleets
• Deep working knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO frameworks
• Experience operating at senior/strategic level (DPA/CSO remit essential)
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence at board and vessel level
