The role holder is responsible to support the Director Quality & Safety in development and implementation of the HSE (Environmental, Health & Safety) policy and procedures to ensure compliance with local governmental and corporate requirements of the company. The role holder is also responsible to support the SMS compliance such as participating to hazard analysis & risk assessment, Safety investigation, ERP procedure, HSE training and continuous monitoring of safety targets and objectives of the organization. The role holder shall carry out all the duties in accordance with the company's business policies and procedures.
Core Responsibility:
- HSE Manager is responsible to the director Quality & Safety for support in compliance and assurance of HSE policy and procedures and governmental standards, by providing necessary guidance and directions.
- He is to support in implementing all EHS measures ensuring that all personnel follow safe practices within the organizations.
- He is to support in establishing a strong EHS culture by promoting a proactive approach to safety.
- He will support the safety team (SMS) in continuous improvement and change management in health, Safety & Environment related activities of the organization.
- He will support in managing the implementation of ISO 45001 OH&S and ISO 14001 EMS standards to achieve or exceed the associated safety objectives / SKPIs and to ensure they meet the requirements of the customer legislation and local HSE regulations.
- He will support safety team in performing hazard identification & risk assessment.
- He will support in promoting the just culture and provide information, advice and coaching to the relevant stakeholders.
- He will support the safety team in accident / incident investigation and to follow-up and ensure implementation of corrective / preventive actions of investigation team to avoid recurrence of the accident / incident.
- He will support in conducting quarterly safety / facility survey or any other internal HSE audits using the applicable checklists.
- He will support in maintenance of HSE related equipment by performing daily safety walk arounds and scheduled inspections of First Aid Kits (FAKs), Defibrillators, fire extinguishers, eye washers and other safety equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or HSE.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in HSE field.
- NEBOSH IGC Certificate / OSHA Training.
- Health & Safety related training courses preferred.
- Aviation Background and knowledge of ICAO's SMS is preferred.
- Policy and Procedure compliance.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 OH&S Management Systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Competency to become lead auditor and HSE trainer.
- Basic Knowledge of health & Safety equipment.
