Job Summary:

The EHS Principal is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Environment, Health, and Safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards. The role focuses on promoting a safe workplace, reducing environmental impact, and fostering a culture of proactive risk management. A background in firefighting is considered a strong asset for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company requirements.
  • Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on health, safety, environmental, and emergency response topics.
  • Monitor and analyze incident reports, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Oversee waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response plans, including fire prevention and firefighting drills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive EHS culture and awareness across the organization.
  • Report EHS performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Act as the main point of contact with regulatory authorities and external auditors regarding EHS matters.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) preferred.
  • Firefighting background/qualification is a strong plus.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in manufacturing/industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, EHS regulations, and international standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent Command of English.
