Position: Environmental Control Manager
Job Overview:
An Environment Manager in the food industry directs strategies to minimize ecological footprints, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainable practices. They oversee critical areas like wastewater treatment, organic waste reduction, and energy efficiency across manufacturing plants to meet strict environmental and corporate ESG standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure facilities adhere to local, state, and national environmental laws, securing and managing permits for wastewater discharge, air emissions, and hazardous waste disposal.
- Resource & Waste Management: Oversee organic waste streams, by-product processes, and high-strength wastewater treatment plants. Drive projects targeting zero waste-to-landfill, water conservation, and energy reduction.
- Sustainability & ESG Strategy: Develop and execute long-term sustainability goals, such as carbon footprint reduction, sustainable packaging transitions, and supply chain emissions tracking.
- Environmental Management Systems (EMS): Maintain and upgrade site management protocols to meet global frameworks like ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 for energy management

- Secondary Treatment
- Tertiary Treatment
Education/Qualification Required:
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Water/Hydraulic Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
Salary Barcket: 60,000-80,000
