Overview:
Manage all aspects of Environmental compliance for Centerline Logistics and subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain functionality of the Environmental program, including documentation, policies, procedures, meetings, auditing and training.
- Maintain the ENV section of the Safety Management System.
- Manage and oversee the HAZ WASTE regulatory compliance in every region.
- Administer permit application and renewal process.
- Develop Best management practices for compliance
- Maintain all Vessel Response Plans and Alaska Contingency Plan Maintenance, renewal and vessel additions and removals.
- Schedule, plan, develop budget and coordinate Spill drills in every region as required.
- Track, manage and update regulatory issues facing Company, including vessel response plans, contingency –plan, permitting.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Senior Director
Qualifications:
- Four (4) year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- Two (2) years maritime industry experience preferred.
- Experience with presentations and training to large groups.
- Computer skills – basic Microsoft Office suite knowledge.
- Advanced writing skills.
- Knowledge and usage of in-house systems.
- Ability to deal with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.
- Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to get along with office staff, vessel crewmembers and customers.
- Physical ability to board tugs and barges in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over telephone.
Job Condition and Environment:
- Required to sit for long periods of time.
- Infrequent light physical effort required.
- Work with computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones.
Expected Hours of Work:
- Normal office hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- May be required to travel for up to one week at a time.
