Environmental Data Analyst – GCMS Focus

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong background in chromatography, particularly GCMS, to support our laboratory operations. This role is central to ensuring accurate interpretation of laboratory results and involves reviewing, validating, and entering analytical data into our LIMS. The position may also support Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) for select clients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyze and interpret GCMS data for volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds

· Review GCFID data for petroleum hydrocarbons (DRO/ORO)

· Interpret ICPMS data for metals as needed

· Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

· Review and format Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) based on client and regulatory requirements

· Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies or EDD format issues

· Collaborate with technical staff to resolve data-related concerns

· Assist in maintaining data integrity and compliance with QA/QC protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field

· 1+ years of experience analyzing GCMS or other chromatographic data

· Familiarity with environmental regulatory programs and laboratory QA/QC processes

· Experience with LIMS and/or electronic data deliverables (EDD) is a plus

· Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills

· Effective communication and technical writing abilities
