Job Title: Environmental Engineer

Reporting To: Environmental Manager / Head of HSE
Job Purpose:
The Environmental Engineer is responsible for supporting environmental management initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and implementing sustainable practices across project operations. The role involves monitoring environmental performance, assisting with impact assessments, and providing technical support for environmental programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management systems (EMS) and procedures.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, inspections, and site assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support environmental impact assessments (EIA) and audits for ongoing projects.
- Collect and analyze environmental data, including air, water, soil, and waste management metrics.
- Prepare environmental reports, documentation, and compliance records for management and regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to implement environmental control measures.
- Support the Environmental Manager in developing training programs and awareness campaigns on environmental best practices.
- Investigate environmental incidents or non-compliance issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor waste management, emissions, and resource usage to ensure sustainable practices.
- Stay updated with local environmental regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in environmental engineering, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, ISO 14001, and sustainability practices.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and environmental data management tools.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
