Environmental Engineer

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join E&S Team for the Kars–Iğdır–Aralık–Dilucu High Standard Railway Project, financed by international lenders.

Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to manage, monitor, and report on environmental activities for the Kars–Iğdır–Aralık–Dilucu High Standard Railway Project , which is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of international financial institutions and national environmental legislation.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and reporting all environmental activities carried out at the project site in accordance with national and international environmental legislation

• Monitoring air quality measurements at designated points at the project site and taking necessary preventive/corrective actions

• Periodically monitoring, evaluating, and reporting noise and vibration measurements

• Monitoring surface and groundwater quality, creating databases, and reporting regularly

• Preparing, updating, and monitoring the implementation of environmental management plans and environmental procedures

• Organizing, controlling, and periodically reporting on environmental activities of subcontractors

• Planning internal environmental audits and executing CAP (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes

• Providing environmental training and preparing annual training plans

• Managing official institutional processes related to the environment (permits, notifications, correspondence, etc.)

• Preparing environmental risk assessment studies and updating them regularly

• Reporting environmental accidents, performing root cause analyses, and creating risk mitigation action plans

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental reports

• Ensuring the management, control, and tracking of waste generated on site

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering

• Preferably with experience in environmental management in mining, construction, and railway projects

• Knowledgeable about environmental legislation and environmental management systems

• Strong reporting skills, proficient in MS Office and environmental tracking software

• Team player with strong communication skills

• Able to adapt to field conditions

• Residing in or able to reside in Iğdır

• Preferably with English language skills
