Looking for Professional Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager with an experience of min 10 Yrs. Having a technical degree in Engineering and Health and Safety.
Industry: Construction / Infrastructure
Location: Present Deployment at Gurugram

The HSE Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing Health, Safety, and Environment systems across construction projects to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, client HSE standards, and company policies. The role focuses on risk prevention, workforce safety, environmental protection, and effective coordination with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Management & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific HSE plans.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, local labor laws, environmental norms, and client HSE requirements.
  • Lead HIRA (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment) and ensure effective implementation of control measures.
  • Prepare, review, and monitor COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with Method Statements, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit to Work systems.

Construction Site Safety

  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments across construction activities.
  • Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, excavation, hot works, and confined spaces.
  • Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

Client Coordination & Handling

  • Act as the primary HSE interface with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities.
  • Participate in client HSE meetings, audits, inspections, and safety reviews.
  • Ensure timely closure of client observations, NCRs, and audit findings.
  • Maintain strong professional communication and relationship management with clients.

Training & Awareness

  • Plan and conduct HSE induction programs, toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and specialized training.
  • Identify training needs and ensure competency development for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.

Environment Management

  • Implement environmental management plans covering waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation.
  • Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with statutory and client environmental standards.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain HSE records, statistics, and dashboards (accident frequency, severity rate, near-miss trends).
  • Prepare and submit periodic HSE reports to management and clients.
  • Support internal and external audits (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, client audits).

Emergency Preparedness

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct mock drills.
  • Ensure readiness for fire, medical, environmental, and site emergencies.

Educational Qualifications

  • B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering – Mandatory

Professional Certifications

  • ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) – Mandatory
  • NEBOSH (IGC or equivalent) – Mandatory

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of total HSE experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in construction projects (infrastructure, industrial, commercial, or residential)

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in HIRA, COSHH, JSA, PTW systems
  • Excellent client coordination, client handling, and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of construction safety practices and statutory requirements
  • Effective training, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead teams and influence safety culture
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

  • ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 implementation/auditing experience
  • Experience handling large or multiple construction sites
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
