About the Role

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager supports safety and environmental compliance across field operations and project sites. This role helps ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations while promoting a strong, practical safety culture throughout field operations.

Required Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in EHS, construction safety, environmental remediation, or industrial safety
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926)
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites (50–75%)
Comfortable working outdoors in active construction and remediation environments
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
OSHA 30 (Construction)
Experience working on contaminated sites or with hazardous materials
First Aid / CPR / AED certification
CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) or ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and implement site-specific Health & Safety Plans (HASPs)
Conduct daily site inspections, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety audits
Participate in project mobilizations and site setup
Monitor field activities including soil excavation and stabilization, drilling and injection operations, heavy equipment and earthwork, confined space and trenching activities, hazardous material handling, lead and assist with toolbox talks and daily safety briefings, provide real-time safety coaching to field crews and subcontractors

Assist with regulatory compliance including Hazardous Waste Management (RCRA), Spill prevention and response, air monitoring and exposure monitoring, stormwater and erosion controls
Support environmental and safety reporting requirements
Assist with incident, near-miss, and injury investigations
Track corrective actions and follow-up activities
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
