Environmental / Housekeeper

Job Overview
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your attention to detail and commitment to sanitation will ensure that all areas are impeccably maintained. You’ll be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks that uphold our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Join us in creating an inviting atmosphere where everyone can thrive!

What you’ll do

• * Clean resident rooms, including there bathrooms. Sweep, mop, dust, take out the trash and, replinish supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.
• * Make beds and change linens as scheduled.
• * Maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.
• * Follow infection control and safety procedures
• * At the end of the day restock your cleaning cart, take out your garbage, and restock the janitor closet with supplies.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles, preferably in a nursing home / assisted living / hospital or commercial setting. but willing to train.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 30 / 50 pounds, along with moving furniture around in rooms or living room area.
• Must be able to pass background checks (as required by the state regulations)

Preferred qualifications

• Previous nursing home / assisted living / hospital experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Attention to detail - Time management skills, and strong work ethic.
• Compassion and patience when working around the elderly residents.
• Understanding infection control.
