Job Description:

As an Environmental Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing environmental policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your primary focus will be to develop strategies that minimize our environmental impact and promote sustainability within all aspects of our operations.

Minimum requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Management, or Engineering with technical expertise.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in the civil construction industry within Qatar or any GCC country, including 5 years in infrastructure projects. Experience in Lusail projects is advantageous.
• Additional certifications in environmental management (ISO 14001), ISEP, NEBOSH, GSAS CGP are an advantage
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Only Freelancer will be accepted.
• Must be locally available in Qatar
• A holder of a valid Qatar ID.
• Can join immediately.

Key responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Apply knowledge in various construction activities related to roads, highways, tunnels, and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct Environmental and Sustainability reporting for Lusail Projects (EDL and MER), including daily and weekly reports, NCR closeouts, and other reports in LREDC.
• Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments.
• Monitor and analyze environmental data to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote sustainable practices.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Provide training and support to staff on environmental issues and practices.
• Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies.
