Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Environmental Scientist based on-site in Mumbai, Maharashtra. AESPL is able to offer flexibility between its offices located at Mahim and Thane as per the candidate’s preference.

The Environmental Scientist will be responsible for conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), writing EIA reports, preparing presentations and submissions, developing environment management plans, and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and comprehensive knowledge of environmental laws and regulations with regard to building and construction projects
• Knowledge of the EIA Notification 2006, CRZ Notifications 2011/2019
• Knowledge of IGBC norms
• Awareness of SEIAA and SEAC requirements for construction projects in Maharashtra and Goa
• Skills in data analysis, report writing, and planning for various environmental projects
• Strong research and problem-solving skills related to environmental regulatory challenges
• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in dynamic, multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in laboratory practices and environmental monitoring would be advantageous, but is not mandatorily required
• QCI-NABET approval for sector 8(a), 8(b)
• 10+ years of experience in the EIA consultancy field
