Environmental Services Housekeeper

Join our dedicated Environmental Services team as an Environmental Services Housekeeper, where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will create a safe, sanitized, and welcoming residents and guests to our community center amenities area. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation across various areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting the overall well-being of our facility. Your proactive approach and enthusiasm will help foster a healthy environment that promotes comfort and safety for all.

Watergate at Landmark (WAL) is a Luxury high-rise condominium community in Alexandria’s West End. WAL is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to clean in the Community Center area, the main office, and the racquet club area. Assisting with event setup/take down of tables and chairs, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the general community center, terrace lounge, TV/Card rooms, Library, Kitchen, and Bathroom areas clean, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting.
• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of community center areas, main office, and the racquet club to include restrooms, hallways, and other designated spaces.
• Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to established protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning procedures, utilizing proper floor care techniques.
• Restock supplies such as paper products and hand soaps in common area restrooms.
• Clean glass doors and dust/polish the furniture in the community center
• Empty waste containers in the community center, terrace lounge, TV/Card room, and main office, and serve as a backup for housekeeping duties in the buildings.
• Racquet Club room, mopping, trash removal, clean common sitting area
• Other duties as assigned.
• Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or residential setting is highly preferred.
• Be able to work occasional OT and rotating holidays
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and floor care techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions and protocols.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning motions safely. Join us in making a difference by ensuring our environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming!

Work Schedule Monday-Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
