- Work collaboratively within a team of technical specialists to develop innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions for a diverse set of local and global projects and clients;
- Consult on projects primarily in Nevada, but support projects in North America and with international clients;
- Conduct work primarily related to the mining industry, specifically mine permitting, reclamation, and environmental aspects;
- Occasional travel and field work;
- Assist senior staff with field data review and field data interpretation;
- Assist with the management and preparation of technical reports;
- Assist with the preparation of project budget estimates;
- Use of the Microsoft Office Suite programs;
- Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D or willingness to learn preferred; and
- Other duties, as assigned.
- An undergraduate degree in the physical sciences (e.g., Geology, Earth Science, or Environmental Science);
- Familiarity with mining support earthworks facilities (tailings, leach piles, waste rock dumps, ponds, diversion channels, etc.);
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- Willingness to learn new skills;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with appropriate supervision and mentoring; and
- Strong inter-personal communication and writing skills.
$70,000-$85,000 USD per annum.
