Position Summary

Our team is growing, and we are seeking a qualified Staff Scientist with strong experience in Phase I and Phase II ESAs to support our expanding portfolio of projects. We are hiring a Staff Scientist with 4–5 years of proven experience in conducting and writing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, soil, surface water, and groundwater investigations, and other environmental consulting tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site investigations, preparing technical reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance across a variety of commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities

Independently conduct Phase I and Phase II ESAs, field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.

Prepare technical reports including TCEQ and RRC release determination, assessment, and corrective action reports.

Analyze environmental data and prepare clear, concise technical reports.

Perform site reconnaissance, historical research, and stakeholder interviews.

Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.

Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all project phases.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor in environmental science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 4–5 years of hands-on experience conducting and writing Phase I and Phase II ESAs.

Field methods employed for subsurface soil and groundwater assessments, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).

Strong knowledge of Texas environmental regulations and permitting processes.

Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data tools.

Ability to lift 45+ pounds, walk long distances and work in various weather and terrain conditions

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across Texas.

Preferred Qualifications

HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.

Experience with GIS mapping and environmental modeling.

Familiarity with TCEQ and other Texas regulatory bodies.

Professional credentials (e.g., EIT, PG, CHMM) are a plus.

Pay: $52,316.29 - $63,004.56 per year
