Environmental Technician - II

Key Purpose

The individuals in this position are responsible for performing tasks associated with handling, decontaminating, and operating equipment with safety and compliance as the top priority.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing objects
• Apply liquid chemical solution to contaminated equipment/areas
• Maintain up-to-date OSHA 40 HAZWOPER and company required training
• Maintain and operate equipment and tools issued by the company
• Comply with on-going and random drug testing and physicals as required by the company
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 2-year trade/construction experience
• Ability to use and wear Personal Protective Equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
• Ability to work weekends and to travel out of town on short notice.
• Hazardous waste experience and certifications are ideal
• Previous environmental services industry experience a plus
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English

Start Date: As soon as possible

Pay: Commensurate on level of experience

Pay: $31.14 - $37.50 per hour
