Job Title: Epic Application Analyst Level 3
Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits)
Duration: 3 Months
We are seeking an experienced Epic Application Analyst to manage day-to-day activities for the ambulatory team. The role includes handling ticket queues, user requests, and collaborating with business users, project managers, and technical teams to ensure the successful design, implementation, and optimization of clinical systems.
- Manage and support Epic Application systems, specifically EpicCare Ambulatory and related modules
- Collect and transform business requirements from stakeholders and end users
- Develop and modify requirements documentation for the design and implementation of clinical information systems
- Communicate technical requirements and specifications to developers and technical teams
- Assist with project management tasks, including identifying risks and developing solutions
- Facilitate meetings and workgroups, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure requirements are met
- Lead training sessions for junior analysts and contribute to process improvements
- Participate in unit acceptance testing and support application deployments
- Provide ongoing end-user support and resolve application defects
- Work on special projects as required and provide project presentations
- Certification in EpicCare Ambulatory (required), additional Epic modules a plus
- 2–5 years of experience with Epic EMR and/or clinical applications
- Strong understanding of business requirements and process analysis
- Experience in coordinating with project management teams and other departments
- Proven ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior team members
- Must be able to work remotely approximately 80% of the time with up to 20% on-site presence
- Clinical background (preferred)
- At least 2 full life-cycle Epic implementations (preferred)
- Master's degree or advanced clinical degree (preferred)
- Certification(s) from a national or state organization in relevant areas
- Epic Certification (preferred)
- Master's degree or advanced clinical degree with 2 years of experience in clinical/business analysis
- OR a Baccalaureate Degree with 5 years of relevant experience
- Combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
