The Epic Application Analyst – Outpatient Orders is responsible for the design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of Epic functionality related to outpatient ordering workflows. This role focuses on Epic Ambulatory and Epic Orders/Order Transmittal (OTX) to ensure accurate, efficient, and reliable ordering processes across clinical operations.
The analyst partners closely with clinical stakeholders, technical teams, and interface/integration resources to support new lab connections, order routing, and downstream system integrations.

Perform ongoing build, maintenance, configuration, and optimization within Epic Ambulatory, Orders, and Order Transmittal (OTX).

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to outpatient ordering, routing, release rules, preference lists, orderables, and transmittal workflows.

Maintain application documentation, configuration standards, and change management protocols.

Work directly with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements, validate workflows, and ensure system functionality meets business needs.

Partner with Interface/Integration teams on build, testing, and deployment of new lab integrations, order routing enhancements, and downstream connections.

Coordinate with project managers, testing teams, training staff, and other Epic analysts to support new features, releases, and upgrades.

Lead and participate in unit, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing for upgrades and new functionality.

Support go‑live planning, deployment, troubleshooting, and post‑go‑live stabilization.

Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system optimization.

Experience with Epic Ambulatory and/or Orders/Order Transmittal (OTX) build and support

Strong understanding of outpatient clinical workflows, particularly ordering and lab routing

Ability to work collaboratively across clinical, technical, and integration teams

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
