JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the CITL, performs activities in Epic focused on meeting all the technical needs, Clinical care functions, value-based care programs, and community health needs aligned with Franklin Primary Health Center’s (FPHC) mission statement. The position requires Ambulatory and Healthy Planet build experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists, trains, and supports customers and analysts with the operation and administration of Epic and supporting systems.
- Provides a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients' experience.
- Demonstrates an intermediate knowledge base of Epic system, comprehends technical documentation, and applies that knowledge to business solutions and process improvement.
- Reviews and evaluates new releases and Epic feature implementation recommendations of analysts and provides guidance to department leadership to support, implement, modify, or decline the implementations.
- Performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on end user criteria.
- Maintains up-to-date application knowledge for assigned applications/process areas with system specification and technical documentation.
- Creates, designs, reviews, and implements system wide test scripts, including negative and regression testing, and materials for end-to-end workflow testing.
- Participates in team members, customers, vendors, and stakeholders meetings to identify issues with current systems and to gather requests/requirements for new systems on a regular basis.
- Participates in project teams and committees and identifies areas of improvement to advance operational strategies and initiatives.
- Creates, maintains, and reviews documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with current legislation, standards, and application and industry best practices.
- Provides recommendations for material used in the creation of training documentation.
- Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies and initiates escalation procedures with minimal supervision as required.
- Provides support to the Helpdesk and resolves tickets assigned in Helpdesk software.
- Coordinates with clinical staff, leadership, and vendors on complex application or workflow issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with technology or in a technology related field. Possess two (2) or more years' experience in Healthcare Information System. Years of experience over two years may be substituted for level of degree.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Epic certifications, project management, or clinical licensure strongly desired.
