Epic Training & Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary

Xtensys’ Training team is seeking an Epic Training & Continuous Improvement Manager for a training and continuous improvement leadership opportunity. Our team is focused on continuous improvement, embracing asynchronous and synchronous learning, and delivering a modern and meaningful technical learning experience. This role is perfect for someone with proven success in: epic-led end-user training environments, building collaborative relationships, analyzing business process changes, managing complex medium to large training projects (including an epic implementation), problem-solving, and communicating across all levels of the organization.

Bring your passion for implementing best practices in the design and development of learning solutions and partner with your peers and leadership team to thoughtfully create an environment supporting team growth, navigating and overcoming obstacles, and embracing a shared goal. A background in health care and Epic is a must. Experience with asynchronous learning models, content authoring tools, epic-led end-user training, epic university, and learning management systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements best practices for the design and development of learning solutions that enhance the Epic experience for endusers.
  • Preferred experience working with Epic Training Services and epicled enduser training
  • Continuously evaluates learningoutcomes, Signal, and NEAT data and modifies programs to improve effectiveness.
  • Responsible for training and testing efforts
  • Responsible for ensuring teams are aligned with staying current and Gold Stars
  • Experience leading testing efforts within the application team.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring training teams, and the ability to manage the hiring and onboarding of training staff or contractors
  • Works closely with Epic Application Managers and leadership teams to refresh training materials and integrate business needs into the training plan
  • Conducts analysis to identify learning needs and outcomes; experience in data analysis for generating metrics, reports, and dashboards
  • Understands healthcare compliance, including HIPAA, and advises on best practices from past Epic implementations

Who You Are & What You’ll Bring

  • Develops, manages, and maintains a highquality training process and programs that support systemwide organizational initiatives.
  • Epic University experience is required & threefive years' experience in training, with two years in leadership
  • Proven experience analyzing business process changes and workforce training needs to support client needs
  • Strong project management abilities to handle largescale implementations, manage training schedules, and coordinate with various stakeholders
  • Strong ability to work with healthcare professionals at all levels, ensure appropriate training attendance, and engage with national Epic User Groups
  • You likely hold a degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, underpinned by a deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • A strong foundation in Epicled training models; while an Epic Certification is a significant plus, your proven ability to empower endusers is what truly matters.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Informatics, Computer Science, or Healthcare Information is preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25% travel (implementation milestones, etc.)

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.
