Epicor CMS Business Analyst

A Business Analyst for Epicor CMS needs a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, hands-on experience with the Epicor CMS software, and core business analyst skills. Because Epicor CMS is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system specifically for the automotive and manufacturing industries, you will need both business and technical expertise.

Epicor CMS and manufacturing expertise

• Epicor CMS experience: Strong, hands-on experience with the Epicor CMS software is critical.
• Manufacturing operations: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes is essential, including production planning, inventory control, and supply chain management.
• Automotive industry knowledge: Experience within the automotive manufacturing industry is often required or preferred due to the demanding scheduling, quality, and compliance standards.
• Relevant Epicor modules: Familiarity with core Epicor modules is necessary to manage business functions. Key areas include:
• Financial Management
• Production Control
• Planning and Scheduling
• Supply Chain Management
• Quality Assurance and Compliance
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

Core business analysis skills

• Stakeholder engagement: You will need to collaborate with users across different departments (finance, production, inventory) to understand their needs and gather requirements.
• Business process modeling: Use process mapping and other analysis techniques to document and model current business workflows and design future improvements.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills are a must for troubleshooting system issues, identifying the root cause of problems, and developing effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into functional specifications and training end-users.
• Data analysis: The ability to conduct data analysis is required to support decision-making, identify trends, and develop business insights from the ERP data.

Technical and project skills

• Reporting: Experience with report writing and developing custom dashboards within Epicor is necessary to help users visualize and analyze data. This often involves knowledge of tools like SQL or SSRS.
• Query tools: Familiarity with query tools is valuable for troubleshooting issues and extracting data for analysis.
• ERP implementation lifecycle: Experience with at least one full ERP implementation or migration project is often preferred, including testing and training.
• System configuration: Hands-on experience with Epicor configuration is needed to implement and maintain solutions that meet business requirements.
• Project management: Some level of project management experience is often required to lead or participate in implementation, upgrade, or enhancement projects.
• System integration: Familiarity with system integrations, especially with other applications used on the shop floor or for EDI, is a plus.
• Deep understanding of databases and how they integrate
• Understand ODBC connections
• Understanding of both Excel & SQL
• Understand the upgrade process of the IBM iSeries server
• Ability to design, test and submit labelling changes and create new labels to our customers as they come due.
• Design in Labelview and integrate into CMS.

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Datal Analytics or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $78,346.64 - $94,352.94 per year
