Job Overview
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Supervisor to lead our organization's efforts in fostering an inclusive, fair, and compliant workplace environment. The ideal candidate will oversee EEO policies, ensure adherence to employment and labor laws, and promote diversity initiatives across all levels of the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in human resources management, change management, and workforce development. The EEO Supervisor will collaborate with various departments to implement best practices in employee relations, talent acquisition, and organizational design, ensuring the company's commitment to equal opportunity is upheld consistently.

Duties

-Supervise EEO staff in researching complex personnel issues, including discrimination, disciplinary actions, investigations, and compliance with labor laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
-Handle highly sensitive and confidential matters for the agency
-Participate in dispute resolution, settlement negotiations, and conciliations
-Develop, interpret, and monitor Equal Opportunity goals and initiatives
reports and analyze data related to selection processes, surveys, and workforce demographics
-Deliver EEO presentations and conduct training for staff, management, and external stakeholders
-Provide technical assistance and guidance on supervision, grievances, and staff development
-Advise executive leadership on confidential HR and EEO matters
-Analyze HR data to support informed decision-making and reporting
-Represent the agency in meetings with external entities (e.g., EEOC, DOJ, DOL, AG’s Office, Governor’s Office)
-Attend internal meetings across organizational levels
-Perform other related duties as assigned
-Drive on state business

-Learn ADCRR’s security, safety, and inmate management philosophy and programs
-Design, develop, and deliver policy and ER training initiatives
-Diagnose root causes and develop recommendations for corrective strategies
-Provide sound, legal, and fair recommendations
-Write clear, well-reasoned reports and recommendations
-Deliver training and communicate with diverse audiences
-Analyze workplace issues and recommend effective solutions
-Learn, interpret, and equitably apply employment laws as well as ADCRR policies

Selective Preferences:

-Possession of a recognized Human Resources certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-CP is highly desirable

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.

Current ADCRR Employees: Consult with your respective Human Resources Liaison if you are in a different retirement plan than the one indicated above.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 per year
