EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

Under the general direction of the Chief Engineer I, the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor (Correctional Facility) has the overall responsibility for the repair and maintenance of all vehicles and equipment, including the emergency generators located at this institution. As the garage supervisor, the position prioritizes and designates work assignments to the Heavy Equipment Mechanic’s and Auto Mechanic; checks work progress and ensure that repairs are completed in an expeditious manner. As a supervisor, the incumbent is expected to foster a productive and harmonious work environment at all times, for all staff.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
