Position Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on heavy construction equipment (i.e. milling machines, mixers, excavators, sweepers, pavers, etc.) complete service reports with necessary details in a timely manner, demo units and teach equipment operation and keep company equipment well maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must have knowledge of: Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Skid steers and Telehandlers
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnosis, and repair all heavy equipment and share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts/principles to other maintenance personnel.

Assures Preventative maintenance program is conducted on all equipment and report and qualify results.
- Provides emergency unscheduled repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Inform the appropriate facility personnel/supervisors of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect their area of operation.

Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed.
- Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by their leader.

Must have good communication skills

Must pay attention to detail and demonstrate independent reasoning and judgment.

Must have the ability to work in and contribute to production improvement, associate involvement and temporary teams as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Will be exposed to plant production development, indoors and outdoors

Exposed to elements cold, heat and humidity

Regularly required walking, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, bending and moving about the yard/facility.

Must be able to lift 50lbs

May handle potentially hazardous equipment and materials
